The Multifaith Library

The Multifaith Library is a program of the Ontario Multifaith Council. The chief purpose of the library is to provide services to those persons who provide spiritual and religious care to residents of Ontario provincial institutions, transfer payment agencies, and other settings. It is our purpose to provide adequate and appropriate information services and support.

The Library supports the delivery of spiritual and religious care by providing all professionals with library services to meet their information, education, and research-related need.

The Library has books, journals, multimedia (videos and audios, DVDs), online resources, a reference collection, and offers circulation, and reference service (factual questions and literature searches). See a sample of our collections, here.

Awareness services of various kinds, including newsroom, and notification of recently published materials on special topics are also provided.

How do I stay in touch and be up to date?

If you are a spiritual & / or religious care provider, send us an email and we will have you in our mailing list. From time to time you will hear from us about job openings, news, events, etc. that keeps you up to date on our work.

What you may not know is that OMC has several options you can choose when it comes to receiving mail or emails from us, and we’re happy to change your preferences:

If you want to hear from us occasionally, let us know, and we’ll send you only our Newsletter;

If you don’t like to be on a general mailing list and prefer to only receive our event-based mailings, including SRCAW (an annual event, detail are here: Spiritual and Religious Care Awareness Week) and Educational programs (such as: OMC's Annual Educational Conference, information breakfast, etc.), you can specify that in your request.
